• Power:  The FireStick is actually quite powerful for its small size and inexpensive price tag.  You can play 720P and 1080P movies using the Fire Stick (HD).  If you do this, we recommend you place a small fan next to the FireStick, as it tends to overheat when playing HD video for several hours on end!
• Portability:  Fire Stick is small enough to put in a pocket, or in the “small compartment” of your back pack.  It’s perfect for sleep overs or traveling!
• Price:  FireStick is only $39 – you can’t beat that with a stick.

What is a Fire Stick’s Weaknesses?

• The Fire Stick, even though “relatively-high-powered”, has some physical limitations.  Mainly, the device isn’t high power enough to play 4K movie streams.
• FireStick tends to overheat after playing several hours of HD video.  Use a fan to cool it down or buy a higher-powered device that’s geared for many hours of constant HD playback (which the Amazon FireStick is not!).
• To unlock FireStick’s true potential, you may need to tweak some settings and install some apps using tutorials like this Install Kodi on Fire Stick 2017 guide.  So if you’re not willing to do that, then you’re stuck with the “stock” Fire Stick apps like Netflix, Amazon Video, Pandora, and Crackle.
